Residential Mortgage Survey

A mortgage survey is a survey that is used by banks and title companies to guarantee that a residential property is clear of any encroachments. This type of survey will show all of the improvements (i.e. house, garage, driveway, sidewalk, inground pool, etc.) that are on a property. Every state is different in the requirements they have for these types of surveys. Some states actually require that a boundary survey be performed along with location of the improvements.
